What Is Pronoun In Urdu?
A pronoun is a word that is used instead of a noun. Pronoun is made of two words: Pro means For. So pronoun means ” for a noun “. A pronoun is used to avoid repetition of nouns.
Pronoun ایک ایسا لفظ ہے جو noun کی جگہ استعمال ہوتا ہے۔ Pronoun کا استعمال جملے میں Noun کی تکرار سے بچنے کے لیے کیا جاتا ہے۔

Reflexive Pronouns
When self is added to my, him her your, and selves are added to our them, we get reflexive pronouns. Reflexive pronouns are used when the subject’s action turns back upon the subject.
Reflexive Pronouns ایسے Pronouns ہوتے ہیں جو self or selves لگا کر بنائے جاتے ہیں یہ اس وقت استعمال ہوتے جب فاعل کا عمل واپس اس کی طرف منعکس ہو رہا ہو۔

I hurt myself. |
She hurt herself. |

Relative Pronouns
Relative Pronouns is a pronoun that joins two statements. It therefore does the work of a conjunction. But unlike conjunction the relative pronouns refer or relate to some noun going before which is called antecedent.
Relative Pronoun وہ pronoun ہوتا ہے جو دو جملوں کو ملاتا ہے اور conjunction والا کام کرتا ہے۔ لیکن conjunction کےبر عکس یہ جملے میں موجود noun کی طرف اشارہ کرتا ہے جو پہلے بیان کیا جا چکا ہوتا ہے جسے Antecedent بھی کہتے ہیں۔
Examples
I met Ali who had just arrived. |
I found my pen which I had lost. |
Here is the book that you want. |
Note:
یاد رہے کہ Who انسانوں اور بعض اوقات جانوروں کے لیے استعمال ہوتا ہے۔ یہ واحد اور جمع اسم دونوں کے لیے استعمال ہو سکتا ہے۔ Whose جو Who کی Possessive Case ہے کو اشخاص جانوراں اور بے جان چیزوں کے لیے استعمال کیا جاتا ہے۔
I have an ox whose legs are long. |
This is the question whose answer is difficult. |
He is the man Who saved My life. |
Distributive Pronouns
Each, either, neither are called distributive pronouns because they refer to persons or things one at a time. For this reason, they are always singular and are followed by the verb in the singular.
Each, Either, neither کو Distributive Pronoun اس لیے کہا جاتا ہے کیوں کہ یہ ایک وقت میں ایک چیز یا شخص کے لیے ہی استعمال کیا ہوتے ہیں یہ Pronouns صرف دو چیزوں یا اشخاص کے لیے استعمال ہوتا ہے۔
Examples
Each Boy was given a Prize. |
Either girl can do that. |
Neither Answer is correct. |
Indefinite Pronouns
A pronoun that refers to a person or things in general is called an indefinite pronoun. But they do not refer to any person or thing in particular. One, any, some, all, none, nobody, everyone, neither, either, each are indefinite Pronouns.
Indefinite Pronoun ایسا Pronoun ہوتا ہے جو کسی عام چیز یا شخص کا حوالہ دینے کے لیے استعمال ہوتا ہے۔
Examples
One hardly knows what to do. |
None of his poems is impressive. |
All were present. |

Demonstrative Pronouns
Demonstrative pronouns are used to point out the objects to which they refer. This, that, These, those are demonstrative pronouns.
Demonstrative pronouns ایسے pronoun ہوتے ہیں۔ جو کسی چیز یا شخص کی طرف اشارہ کرنے کے لیے استعمال ہوتا ہے۔

This is a car that I want to buy. |
These are things that you need. |
That is your brother. |
Interrogative Pronouns
Interrogative pronouns are used to ask questions. Who, whose, whom, which, and what are interrogative pronouns.
یہ Pronoun سوال پوچھنے کے لیے استعمال ہوتے ہیں۔

Who are you? |
What do you want? |
