What Is Present Perfect Continuous Tense?
This tense is used for those sentences. In which the work continues at present. And it has been going on for a long time. And it continues in the present. That is why the sentence also refers to the beginning of the work. It is also known as the present perfect Progressive Tense.
یہ ٹینس ان جملوں کے لیے استعمال ہوتا ہےجن میں کام حال ہی میں جاری ہوا ہوتا ہےاور کافی عرصہ سے چلتا آرہا ہوتا ہے۔ اسی وجہ سے کام کے شروع ہو نے کا حوالہ بھی دیا جاتاہے۔
Types Of Tenses
In English Grammar, There are Three main Types Of Tenses and each tense is Classified into four subcategories equal to twelve Tenses. Here we will discuss the Present Perfect Continuous Tense and in the next lesson, we will discuss the Past Simple Tense, which means past indefinite Tense.

Positive Sentences
اس ٹینس میں ہم جملہ بناتے وقت ” verb ” کی پہلی فارم کے ساتھ ing کا استعمال کرتے ہیں۔
اس ٹینس میں ” Helping Verb ” has been ” اور ” have been ” کا استعمال کیا جاتا ہے۔
” He” ” She” ” It ” کے ساتھ ” Has Been ” کا استعمال کیا جاتا ہے اور ” I ” ” We ” ” They ” ” You ” کے ساتھ Have been استعمال کیا جاتا ہے۔
Structure

| I have been studying for three hours. | میں تین گھنٹے سے پڑھ رہا ہوں۔ |
| She has been working at this company since 2010. | وہ 2010 سے اس کمپنی میں کام کر رہی ہے۔ |
| They have been playing football for two hours. | وہ دو گھنٹے سے فٹ بال کھیل رہے ہیں۔ |
| He has been learning Spanish for six months. | وہ چھ مہینے سے ہسپانوی سیکھ رہا ہے۔ |
| We have been living in this city for ten years. | ہم دس سال سے اس شہر میں رہ رہے ہیں۔ |
| I have been waiting for you since 5 o’clock. | میں پانچ بجے سے آپ کا انتظار کر رہا ہوں۔ |

Negative Sentences
When we make negative sentences in the Present Perfect Continuous Tense There is only one change we add the Not after the helping verb Has or Have.
Structure
Subject + Has/Have + Not + Been + V-ing + Object + Since/For
Examples
| We have not been living in this city for ten years. | ہم دس سال سے اس شہر میں نہیں رہ رہے ہیں۔ |
| The children have not been watching TV since morning. | بچے صبح سے ٹی وی نہیں دیکھ رہے ہیں۔ |
| She has not been cooking dinner for the past hour. | وہ پچھلے ایک گھنٹے سے رات کا کھانا نہیں بنا رہی ہے۔ |
| I have not been waiting for you since 5 o’clock. | میں پانچ بجے سے آپ کا انتظار نہیں کر رہا ہوں۔ |
| They have not been traveling around the world for a year. | وہ ایک سال سے دنیا کے ارد گرد سفر نہیں کر رہے ہیں۔ |
| We have not been practicing for the match for three weeks. | ہم تین ہفتوں سے میچ کے لیے مشق نہیں کر رہے ہیں۔ |

Interrogative Sentences
When we make Interrogative sentences there is only one change that is we write the helping verb at the start of the sentence.
Structure
Has/Have + Subject + Been + V-ing + Object + Since/For
Examples
| Have we been practicing for the match for three weeks? | کیا ہم تین ہفتوں سے میچ کے لیے مشق کر رہے ہیں؟ |
| Have they been traveling around the world for a year? | کیا وہ ایک سال سے دنیا کے ارد گرد سفر کر رہے ہیں؟ |
| Have I been waiting for you since 5 o’clock? | کیا میں پانچ بجے سے آپ کا انتظار کر رہا ہوں؟ |
