What Is Past Indefinite Tense In Urdu?

It is used to express an action that was done in the past. And usually, not that much time has passed since it was done. Usually, such actions happen on the day they are mentioned or shortly before speaking. It is also known as past simple Tense.

یہ ٹینس ایسے کام کے اظہار کے لیے استعمال ہوتا ہے جو گزرے ہوے وقت میں کیا گیا ہو۔ اور عموماَ اسے کیے ہوے اتنا زیادہ وقت نہیں گزرا ہوتا۔ عام طور پر ایسے کام اسی دن ہوئے ہوتے ہیں جس دن ان کا زکر کیا جاتا ہے۔یا بولنے سے کچھ دیر پہلے ہوئے ہوتے ہیں۔

اُردو میں پہچان

اس ٹینس میں جملہ بناتے وقت جملے کے آخر میں “کیا ” لیا” گیا” گئی” جیسے الفاظ آتے ہیں اور ان جملوں کے آخر میں ایسے اور الفاظ بھی آ سکتے ہیں مثلاَ “دیکھا ” دیکھی” اور آ اے ای جیسی آوازیں بھی آتی ہیں۔

Positive Sentences

In this Tense when we make simple sentences we used 2nd form of verb.

اس ٹینس میں جب ہم سادہ فقرات بناتے ہیں تو” Verb “ کی دوسری ” Form “ استعمال کرتے ہیں۔

Subject + 2nd Form Of Verb + Object

Examples

He passed the exam.	اُس نے امتحان پاس کیا۔
He cleaned his room.	اُس نے اپنا کمرہ صاف کیا۔
He went to school.	وہ سکول گیا۔
I accepted his invitation.	میں نے اس کی دعوت قبول کی۔
Ali gave me a gift.	علی نے مجھے تحفہ دیا۔
He surprised me.	اس نے مجھے حیران کر دیا۔
He wrote a letter.	اُس نے ایک خط لکھا۔
He won a prize.	وہ ایک انعام جیتا۔
He helped him.	اس نے اس کی مدد کی۔

Negative Sentences

When we make negative sentences then we use Did Not in the sentences. We use 1st Form of a Verb when we make negative sentences in the past indefinite tense because when we use did in the sentence we always use 1st form of a Verb.

اس ٹینس میں ہم منفی جملہ بناتے وقت Did Not کا استعمال کرتے ہیں۔کیونکہ جب ہم فقرے میں Did کا استعمال کرتے ہیں تو ہمیشہ verb کی پہلی فارم استعمال کرتے ہیں۔

Subject + Did Not + 1st Form Of Verb + Object

I did not buy a car.	میں نے کار نہیں خریدی۔
We did not see him on the street.	ہم نے اسے گلی میں نہیں دیکھا۔
We did not go to school.	ہم سکول نہیں گئے۔
He Did not wash his hands.	اس نے اپنے ہاتھ نہیں دھوئے۔
She did not come here.	وہ یہاں نہیں آئی۔
We did not help him.	ہم نے اسکی مدد نہیں کی۔
I did not meet him.	میں اس سے نہیں مل سکا۔
He did not get the job.	اُسے نوکری نہیں ملی۔
He did not eat the meal.	اُس نے کھانا نہیں کھایا۔

Interrogative Sentences

When we make interrogative sentences then we use Did in the sentences. We use 1st Form of a Verb when we make interrogative sentences in the past indefinite tense because when we use did in the sentence we always use 1st form of a Verb.
